Micronomy is passionate about supporting emerging talent, building meaningful industry connections, and retaining that talent in the South West. Our work with Megan Trapnell, a graduate of Arts University Plymouth in Fashion & Design, perfectly illustrates this mission.
Megan started with a 12-week programme, developed and delivered by Micronomy (on behalf of the Arts University Workroom), which was designed to incubate, accelerate, and forge cross-sector collaborations for emerging talent looking to start their own business. This initial programme helped refine her concept and set the foundations for Dart & Grey, a venture that transforms surplus manufacturing materials into high-end fashion, blending sustainability with creativity.
With the ongoing support Megan receives through Micronomy's emerging talent mentoring and coaching programme, Megan has accelerated her business model, leveraging industry connections and gaining invaluable insights. From graduating university to conducting interviews aboard million-pound yachts in Cannes, Megan's journey shows the power of talent combined with considered support. With the right guidance and a strong network, her passion has become a profession, and Plymouth her playground for innovation and opportunity.
